Canaan Christian Church exists…

To honor and glorify God by lifting up the name of Jesus and dwelling in community encouraging one another to move closer to God and fulfill His Purpose for our lives. We accomplish this through our Vision and Mission.

Our Vision

We want to see Jesus having a CENTRAL place in the body of Christ, and for our community and the world to see that the CROSS really does make a difference in their lives.

Our Mission

We want to reveal Jesus and His finished work on Calvary; that through the sacrifice of His life we now have the answer to the needs of a hurting world.  As we receive Christ, we also need to walk in Him because He is the source of our righteousness, victory, favor, love, provision, healing and so much more.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

– Hebrews 10:24-25

 Men

The men’s ministry exists to lead men to Christ and develop men into disciples of Christ, so they may be great examples to their circle of influence.

We strive to bring together men of all ages to grow in relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as becoming leaders in their homes, church and communities.

To accomplish this we provide support to men through bible studies, prayer and special events.

 Women

The mission of the women’s ministry is to draw women closer to God by helping them to feel loved, accepted, encouraged and equipped to serve and reach others for Jesus.

To accomplish this we encourage and equip women in their relationship with God through prayer, bible study and discipleship.  In doing so, women can serve in their families, church and in their communities and demonstrate God’s love by the way they live, believing that God has transformed them from ordinary to extraordinary women after God’s own heart.

Women’s Ministry Leader:

Debora Mendoza

“For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.”

Proverbs 8:11 (NIV)

 Chaplains

The Chaplains ministry is composed of men and women who are committed, trained and educated to be used as the instrument of God with the purpose of restoring lives.  The Chaplains’ goal is to be of assistance in the community and a helping hand to the needy as God’s servants doing what they love, to bless others with the calling God has placed their hands sharing the love of Jesus Christ with all.

Please send us a message if you are interested in getting involved!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor”

Luke 4:18-19 (Isaiah 61:1-2 NIV)

 Youth

Youth Leader: Kessiarel Morales
Canaan youth meet every 3rd Friday of the month at 7:30PM.
Canaan youth strive to live a self-less life before God and others because God in Jesus Christ lived selflessly for us through His life, death, and resurrection.
Throughout the year the youth coordinate a variety of events such as; bi-monthly services, community outreaches, jubilees and youth camps to develop and deepen their faith.  At the end of the day, the youth’s mission is in line with Jesus’ vision when He commissioned the disciples to spread the Glory of God through the sharing of the Gospel everywhere they went (Luke 24:46-47). Everywhere we go and in everything we do, no matter what season of life we are in, we press-on to make the Beauty of our God and His Gospel known (1 Corinthians 10:31).
