Two Way

God loves you. (John 3:16)

God knows you. (Jeremiah 1:5)

God wants good for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)

God desires a relationship with you. (Proverbs 8:17)

There are many kinds of relationships that people have with each other. We spend our time in those relationships getting to know someone. Their likes and dislikes, how they handle situations, what their goals are for the future. We ask a lot of questions and one might say that we put in work finding out who someone is. In our relationship with God, who is doing all the work?  Do we truly know who God is in the relationship that we claim to have with Him?

If we fear and doubt, we do not know the God we serve. If we question Him constantly, it’s because we do not understand who He is. Let’s face it, most of us have a one-way relationship with God and selfishly go about our day as we please because has given us the free will to do so. We do not stop and put in the time for God as He stops and puts in the time for us. Therefore, it causes us to continuously walk around doubting and questioning who God is.

A short testimony, I have been in several conversations with a few different people who either don’t believe in God or have believed in the past, but now do not. As I converse with them, I think about how loving and wonderful God is that there is no way one cannot want to believe in Him. I spend a lot of time with

God therefore

it is easy for me to just blurt out how great He is every second I can. The conversations become very vague after I ask if they “know” who God is.  My favorite response “I have read the Bible”. Reading it and “knowing” what you are reading, two different things. Some people base their knowledge of God on a tragedy or trial.  They have hurts and pains they can’t explain. Why would God do bad things if He is a good God?  Just as I have had to work on my relationship with God, I leave it to them as well to go and seek out God and find Him. I try my best to model the image of God as I have been created to do. But, I cannot explain my love for God to you.  I can only testify to how He has brought me from a place of darkness to a place of peace and the way that happen was by me learning about who He is. It is time spent with my creator. More prayer, more worship, more serving, more reading.
As you go about your day, think about how much time we put into people to get to know them, the same should be for the God that loves us, takes care of us and chases after us. Let your relationship with God be “

two way

” Him and you! Not just HIM!

De dos vías

Dios te ama. (Juan 3:16)

Dios lo conoce. (Jeremías 1: 5)

Dios quiere lo bueno para ti. (Jeremías 29:11)

Dios desea una relación contigo. (Proverbios 8:17)

Mi respuesta favorita “He leído la Biblia”.

¡No sólo ÉL!
