Can I be honest with you? OK, I would like to confess to you all that I am pretty bad at being “consistent”, sticking to one goal and being on-time. The list can go on and on, but I won’t do that to myself just yet. Trust me, you can ask anyone that knows me and they will waste no time and quickly agree that I do struggle with all these things and more. These struggles may seem very small or insignificant at times, but over time it can grow into something noticeable and crippling. Like everyone else, I have many areas in my life that need some fixing. It’s not bad to be honest with yourself. It’s also not bad to have someone hold you accountable, by lovingly correcting you in a certain area. At the end of it all, who really matters is you. You are the one that needs to find the time to stop and check yourself. Even in the “little things”.

Every year, we all have to go for an annual Medical Exam. Hopefully, nobody skips these exams, haha, but for those of us that do go, it’s usually just an annual health check-up to see how our body is functioning. Most of the time, it’s just to hear the Doctor tell us that we need to “lose weight” and start “eating healthier”. How many of us actually listen to the doctor after leaving the exam? Maybe for about a week, then we go back to our rice, beans, steak and cookies. There are others that go through these exams and find out something they really need to work on. If the problem is ignored, it could change their lives completely. Normally, you wouldn’t want to wait for the problem to get worse before starting a change. We always need to catch it on time.

If you don’t already know, I want to let you know that God has uniquely and individually called us and has trusted us to be a vessel and mouthpiece for his kingdom. We all have a part in Gods Kingdom. He also knows that we all have a few things we need to work on before he gives us somethinbg we’re not prepared for. We need to learn how to start working on the little things rather than trying to become an overnight success. Yes! God may have called you to be a Pastor, a worshipper, a leader, whatever it might be, but can he trust you to come to him in prayer? Can he trust you when he needs you to change something about yourself? Can he trust you to be patient and know that he can do something great in your mini success? Have you been skipping out on your “Heart Exams” with God? Examine your heart and picture it as a garden. What kind of roots are you growing? Do you have soil filled with unhealthy roots, no growth, bad habits, bitterness, confusion, doubts or unattended pain? I used to beat myself up, because I knew that people used to see me as a very inconsistent person. It would upset me when I was corrected by someone for that specific “bad habit”. I constantly failed with the same habit. After time, I realized that I could not be “trusted”. Who likes to feel like they can’t be trusted? Nothing was going to change if I didn’t recognize the problem for myself. I could have chosen to ignore it and say, “Hey this is me, this is how everyone is going to look at me forever.” But, I couldn’t allow these roots to grow any bigger. The bigger they grew, the more I started to believe they were apart of me. We tend to let those roots grow unattended and allow them to make us believe that we are something less than what God has called us to be. I know there are many people out there battling with certain “heart issues”. You may be struggling with something greater than simply “being inconsistent”, but we all have something we need help with. God loves us way too much to keep us the same. Take time out and ask God for a “Heart Exam”. Stay connected with God in PRAYER. We have many relationships, many people that can have fun pointing out our flaws, but it is time to go and talk to God about your struggles alone. You don’t need to schedule a yearly exam, you don’t even need to worry about scheduling an appointment because Gods heart longs to be with us and grieves for us at ANYTIME! Don’t miss out on an exam that will change your life. Let go and let God examine your heart!

Puedo ser honesta contigo?
Esta bien, me gustaría confesarles a todos que soy muy mala en siendo “consistente”, apegandome a una meta y estando a tiempo. La lista puede seguir y seguir, pero no me hare eso todavía. Créeme, puedes preguntar a cualquiera que me conoce y rápidamente pueden confirmar que yo lucho con estas cosas y otras mas. Estas luchas aparentan ser muy pequeñas o insignificantes a veces, pero al pasar el tiempo pueden crecer hacia algo mas notable y debilitante. Como todos los demás, yo tengo muchas areas en mi vida que necesitan ser arregladas. No es malo ser honesto consigo mismo. Tampoco es algo malo tener a alguien a cual puedes rendir cuentas, que amorosamente te pueda corregir en ciertas areas. Al fin de todo, lo que realmente importa eres tu. Tu eres el que necesita buscar el tiempo para detenerte y examinarte. Aun en las “cosas pequeñas”.
Cada ano todos tenemos que ir por nuestro Examen Físico. Espero que nadie falte a estos exámenes, jaja; pero para nosotros que si vamos, usualmente es un examen anual para ver como esta funcionando nuestro cuerpo. La mayoría de veces, solo es el Doctor diciéndonos que tenemos que “bajar de peso” y “comer saludable”.
Cuantos de nosotros en realidad le hacemos caso al doctor después de salir del examen?
Quizás por como una semana y después regresamos al arroz, habichuelas, bistec, y galletas. Hay otros que se hacen estos exámenes y encuentran algo en lo pueden trabajar. Si el problema es ignorado, puede cambiar sus vidas completamente. Normalmente, uno no quisiera esperar haste que el problema se pusiera pero antes de comenzar un cambio. Siempre tenemos que cojerlo a tiempo.
Si ya no lo sabían ,quiero dejarles saber que Dios a únicamente e individualmente nos a escogido y nos a confiado para ser sus vasijas y porta voces para su reino. Todos tenemos parte en el reino De Dios. También El sabe que tenemos unas cuantas cosas en cual tenemos que trabajar antes de que el nos de algo que no estamos preparados para recibir. Tenemos que comenzar a trabajar en las cosas pequeñas en lugar de tratar se convertirnos en un éxito de la noche a la mañana. Si! Dios quizás te ha llamando para ser un Pastor, o adorador, o líder, o lo que sea, pero puede confiar en ti para venir a el en oración? Puede El confiar en ti cuando el necesita que cambies algo en ti? Puede confiar que seas paciente y sepas que el puede hacer algo grande que tu pequeño éxito. Haz estado faltado a tus “Exámenes de Corazon” con Dios? Examina tu corazón y imaginalo como un jardín. Que clase de raíces estas creciendo? Tenias tierra llena de raíces insalubres, sin crecimiento, malos hábitos amargura, confusion duda, a dolor ignorado. Yo sabia criticarme porque yo sabia que los demás me veían como una persona inconsistente. Me molestaba cuando alguien me corregía por ese “mal habito”. Constantemente fallaba con eso mismo habito. Después de un tiempo, me di de cuenta que no era alguien “confiable”. A quien le gusta sentir que no es alguien confiable? Nada iba a cambiar si no me daba cuenta de eso problema yo misma. Yo pudiera haber dicho, “Esta soy yo, así me van a mirar los demás para siempre.” Pero no podia dejar que estas raíces crecieran mas profundo. Dejamos que estas raíces crezcan sin darnos cuenta y permitir que nos dejen creer que somos algo menos de lo que Dios nos ha llamado ha ser. Entre mas grande crecían, entre mas yo comenzaba a creer que eran parte de mi. Yo se que hay mucha personas ahi afuera que están lidiando con “problemas del corazón”. Puede ser que estas luchando con algo mas que el problema de “ser inconsistente”, pero todos tenemos algo con lo cual necesitamos ayuda. Dios nos ama demasiado para dejarnos asi. Tomo tiempo para pedirle a Dios por un “Examen del Corazon”. Mantente conectado con Dios en ORACION. Tenemos muchas relaciones, muchas personas que les gusta señalarnos nuestras debilidades, pero es tiempo de ir y hablar con Dios de nuestras luchas a solas. No necesitas hacer un examen anual, ni necesitas preocuparte de hacer una cita porque el corazón De Dios anhela estar con nosotros a CUALQUIER MOMENTO! No se pierdan el examen que pueda cambiar su vida. Deja que Dios examine tu corazón!
